The Activity Companion was designed by professionals caring for people with dementia to help reduce boredom, loneliness and frustration. And it worked.

Often people with AD just need something to do -- something that is interesting and easily understood. Restlessness is soon replaced with calming, more rewarding activity.

The Activity Companion offers strips of yarn, buckles, and pockets with easy-to-open flaps. It sets on a table or attaches to a pillow with wrap-around velcro straps. It boasts three designs: Springtime, My Horse, and Highlander. They come all the way from Australia and make a very unique, special gift that will provide many hours of pleasure.

Springtime
The Springtime design has an light green background with soft, pastel pink ribbons and frills, pockets and bows, tassels and buckles. Two laced pockets offer places to search, open and close, or just store something inside. Very feminine, The Springtime design is a beautiful way to start any day.

My Horse
You don’t have to know a horse or own a horse to enjoy My Horse. This is a real conversation piece, featuring the shape of a large tactile horse with plenty of yarn tassels, a burlap feed bag, and first prize blue and yellow ribbons.

Highlander
The Highlander is especially popular among men. It features a beige background with Scottish plaid and forest green pockets. Tassels, pockets, buckles and metal rings offer items to work and fidget with. It brings out a little bit o’ the Scotsman in everyone!
