Hopefully it will be found. The bird does recognize sound and could start chirping to help locate it. The bird does go into a standby-sleep to help save batteries. Going to make a special gift November 14, 2022 Reviewer: Annie from Florida   My mom loves birds. We purchased both a bird puzzle and this little mechanical cardinal. I was so curious about it that I already tested it out. So sweet and cute. She will love how jolly it is!
