Adaptive Eating Utensils - Set

The Adult Adaptive Eating Utensils Set is designed to help adults with physical challenges live a better quality of life, with increased eating independence. These eating utensils have been crafted in conjunction with occupational therapists for optimal rehabilitation success.

They were intentionally designed with rehabilitation in mind. The Adapted Utensil Set features a 45 degree bend in the shaft of the eating utensil and a single hexagon shaped finger hole to lock in fingers during use, which will prevent the utensil from spinning or slipping. They are designed to place the hand in a natural downward position, with these utensils, the individual can “hold” the utensil without the need to grip it, enabling individuals with grip related challenges to eat normally.

With every adaptive utensil set you will receive a wristband, which has two jobs; (1) when using in conjunction with the utensil, it is designed to support the hand for a more stable experience and (2) prevents the embarrassment of dropping utensils to the floor, which draws unwanted attention.

All Adaptive Eating Utensils special needs spoons and forks are made of 303 stainless steel, have a pearl white handle finish, and are dishwasher safe!
